General Terms and Conditions

for City Tours with Verena Röse, Frankfurt am Main
(hereinafter referred to as “Provider”)

Definitions
Persons or institutions booking a city tour are hereinafter referred to as “Client”. The person conducting the tour is hereinafter referred to as “Guide”.

Scope
City tours are carried out exclusively on the basis of these General Terms and Conditions.

Booking
A booking becomes binding once the Provider sends a booking confirmation by email. It is based on a prior agreement by email or phone. Changes to a binding booking are only possible in writing (via email).

The maximum number of participants per Guide is specified in the booking confirmation. Exceeding this limit is only possible by prior agreement and at an additional charge; in such cases, a second Guide may need to be booked, and the group split.

Conducting the Tour
The tour is conducted by a qualified Guide selected by the Provider based on the tour’s requirements. There is no entitlement to a specific Guide. If a designated Guide is unavailable, an equivalent substitute will be provided.

The Provider may adjust the content and schedule of the tour to accommodate changing conditions (e.g. group size or opening hours). Admission fees (e.g. for the Main Tower or the Imperial Hall) must be paid in cash on site unless otherwise agreed.

Scheduled indoor visits will be carried out where possible. There is no entitlement if the premises are inaccessible at the time of the tour. The Guide will adjust the program as best as possible.

The Provider does not guarantee that the Guide can accompany the group for the entire duration of the tour (e.g. in case of queues or closures).

Prices and Payment
The price includes consultation, organization, and execution of the city tour. Additional services (e.g. tastings, admission tickets, expenses) are only offered by prior arrangement and will be invoiced separately.

If the Client requests additional effort (e.g. filling in custom forms or invoice corrections after the fact), this will be charged at €20 net per started half hour.

Specific payment conditions are outlined in the booking confirmation.

Cancellation by the Provider
The Provider may cancel the tour in case of the Guide's illness, severe weather, or force majeure. Any fees already paid will be refunded or an alternative date offered. Further claims, particularly for damages, are excluded.

The Guide may terminate the tour if participants are intoxicated or if the safe execution of the tour is at risk. In this case, the full fee remains payable.

Cancellation by the Client
The cancellation terms in the specific offer apply.

Cancellations must be made in writing. If the group does not appear, the full fee is due. Exceptions apply only in cases of immediate danger to physical safety or if city tours are officially prohibited.

Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule (date or time) must be coordinated with the Provider. Short-notice changes are considered cancellations followed by a new booking; the cancellation terms apply.

There is no entitlement to reschedule. Additional effort will be charged at €20 net per started half hour.

Audio and Video Recordings
Audio and video recordings during the tour are only permitted with the prior express consent of the Guide.

Delays
If the group is late, the waiting time will be deducted from the tour duration. Extensions are only possible after consultation with the Provider and depending on the Guide’s availability. In such cases, the extended time and waiting time will be invoiced proportionally.

If the Guide is late, the tour will be extended by the equivalent time free of charge.

If the group cannot be located at the meeting point and is unreachable by phone, the Guide will wait 30 minutes. After that, the service entitlement expires and the full fee remains payable.

To improve coordination, a mobile phone number of a reachable contact person is requested.

Liability
Participation in city tours is at the participant’s own risk. The Provider’s liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, and financially to the agreed tour fee.

Supervision of Minors
For tours involving children, teenagers, or other persons requiring supervision, the Client retains full responsibility. The Guide does not assume any supervisory duties.

Severability Clause
If any provision of these GTC is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
German law applies exclusively. If the Client is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main. The same applies if no general place of jurisdiction exists in Germany.
